Ron Arad – Restless

Last month whilst in London we got the chance to visit the Barbican Art Gallery and see the Ron Arad – Restless exhibition.

The exhibition explores thirty years of his work including the early products built from readymade items through to those generated using 3d computer technology.

The exhibition focuses on  showing the process of  his products development from initial idea and fabrication to finished design.

James Hake at the Rufford Craft Centre

CHERCHBI at The Kendal Upholstery Shop

We’re happy to announce an upcoming collaboration by two-thirds of the un-fold collective. The Kendal Upholstery Shop will be CHERCHBI’s new home in Kendal from Thursday 25th March 2010.

Adam was concerned that being based in Kendal without a shop window was a little frustrating for CHERCHBI customers. When Stuart and partner Rachel opened The Kendal Upholstery Shop last year they created an interiors retail space unique to the Lake District. We all thought CHERCHBI would fit very well. The entire CHERCHBI collection will be showcased in this wonderful environment alongside furniture, fabrics and home accessories by Mulberry, Kenzo, Marimekko and Lush Designs, as well as Kendal Upholstery’s own Humpties collection. Esteemed company indeed. It will also be possible to meet the folks behind Kendal Upholstery and CHERCHBI by making at appointment at the shop.

CHERCHBI will launch in The Kendal Upholstery Shop Thursday 25th March 2010.

Christmas Market

We would like to thank all visitors to this years craft market, it was a great weekend. Our thanks also to the exhibitors who donated a wonderful range of gifts for the prize draw.

This year proceeds of the draw went to Kendal Mountain Rescue they raised over £500 from ticket sales over the weekend.
